Dear Stephen:
I picked up this book because I'm in the process of writing a scientific memoir entitled "How I Stopped My Mother From Forgetting Me!". I use to read all of your books growing up, but I stopped at Pet Cemetery. I can't remember why, but it made me mad. I really enjoyed this book, so I better start again.
The food industry is causing dementia and I'm using my professional background to help my mother, even though she fights me for the sugar all the time and dumps out the water behind my back constantly.
I realize you wrote this book 17 years ago, and you were run down by a car almost 20 years ago, but all of my reading on the brain has taught me that pain can be eliminated. So if you still have pain, then I would suggest reading Dr. Doidge's books. They are a wealth of knowledge on the subject. After all in Tippi Hedren's recent book, she is still in a lot of pain from earlier accidents.
Thanks for a great resource and a great read.
