There are some good stories in this book. Be forewarned- they're not going to be of the same ilk as Steve's or Joe Hill's. These stories are straight fiction with no horror elements.

I don't have any real expectations. I figured it would be just interesting to see how far away or close the apple fell from the tree so to speak. And as a writer myself, I like to read as much as I can just to open my mind sometimes.

The lady at our Post office told me that four pounds is the magic number. Anything over that becomes a question of whether you want to pay more in shipping than the item you are sending.
I paid $120 to ship two car doors from Philadelphia to British Columbia. 2 books, weigh quite a bit less than one door. CD should be able to ship them for cheaper.

Postage rates went up in Canada last year. A stamp to mail a letter is $1.00 now. Rates went up 35 to 50 percent. Really have to
think twice before you mail anything here.
I was going to mail 2 little packets of hot chocolate to my granddaughter. They were in a small brown envelope and it was going to
cost $5.18. I didn't send them.

Joe Hill...Fireman. Signed Limited at Cemetery Dance. I have officially crossed over from Fan to Addict. And now...I really need a second job. LOL
This actually isn't a signed/limited edition. It's a regular trade edition with a signed bookplate being attached. At least that's what I understood from the email they sent out this morning.

Oh...so should I cancel that order? No good?
That's up to you. You can go into the 'Joe Hill' thread on here and find the link to the bookstore that is taking orders for an actual book that Joe will sign in person on the title page (and even have it inscribed to you this way). They will send you the book when it is time, of course, you'll have to pay for shipping but it's probably going to be cheaper than what CD will charge for shipping. I'm sure CD is doing something special with the bookplate but I know a lot of collectors think a signed bookplate isn't really anything special. I have a couple of Anne Rice and Patricia Cornwell books that have signed bookplates in them- makes no difference to me. It's all a matter of personal choice....

I feel the same way. I would much prefer a signed book in lieu of a bookplate, but it really doesn't bother me much.

I just ordered Carrie, and The Dark Tower Complete Concordance from Cemetery Dance. I need to stop visiting that site, it cost $325 Canadian.
I love how cemetery dance did carrie. Quality is suberb. For the life of me can't figure out why after all this time it is still not sold out. Which has really hurt the value. Not that most of us here are not in it for the value, but still be nice if it went out of print

What's a bookplate?

It's a separate piece of paper that is often glued or placed into the front of a book with the author's signature on it. (There are also bookplates that indicate the owner's name, but we're talking about ones with the author's name here.) This was done in the UK edition of Lisey's Story, among others.

I stopped by the used bookstore today to see if I could find a copy of Wizard & Glass. I struck out but I did find something I had not heard of before...Its called Fear Itself The Early Works of Stephen King.

I was actually pretty impressed with the SK shelf at the store, I had checked there a few times before and they usually only have a few pb copies but today the shelves were loaded with pb and a ton of first edition hard backs. It really made me sad I'm a little short on cash right now, I'd have loved to buy them all :(

Are you looking for a hardcover of Wizard and Glass or just a reading copy (or both :) )?
