I think we have the same oak table, luv.
I like oak. I tend to buy some unique pieces. I have a beautiful Oak cabinet hutch. I call my king cabinet. My table could use a refinishing.I think we have the same oak table, luv.
I remember a long time ago you sent me a pic of your oak cabinet and I could see the shadow of a guy taking the picture (I remember thinking you were a guy)I like oak. I tend to buy some unique pieces. I have a beautiful Oak cabinet hutch. I call my king cabinet. My table could use a refinishing.

I had a nice find over the weekend. I went into Half Price Books just to kill some time and see if they had one of 3 editions of books I was looking for. The main one I've been looking for was an old softcover of The Green Mile like I used to have but lost years ago. This is the one...
I saw one once a few weeks ago at another store but it was in pretty bad shape so I passed. There are some on Amazon from third party sellers but they go up to $18-$20 for whatever they consider is Very Good condition. This place had two that looked great though. The first one was just a little yellow and had clearly been read, but in just about the best shape I could have expected to find a 20 year old used book, until I looked at the other one. It was in a green slipcase, when I bought mine back in the day it didn't come with one but apparently there were some that did, but I thought at the time maybe it was just a case somebody threw their copy in. This thing was in perfect condition though, it looked like it just showed up from '97 thanks to the slipcase I guess. And the fact that whoever sold it to Half Price Books apparently never bothered to read it or take it out of the case too often. It was shiny and the pages stiff and white, mint condition. And it was only $7.99, plus another 20% off because they were having a Labor Day Weekend sale. I ended up getting it and two other paperbacks for $10.
The only editions that came with a slipcase were the book club editions. If you look closely at the book you'll notice that there isn't a price printed on the lower left side of the back cover. I like the slip cased editions, they're cool!I had a nice find over the weekend. I went into Half Price Books just to kill some time and see if they had one of 3 editions of books I was looking for. I have one with a slip case in very good condition. Pretty sure I found it at the used bookstore, so paid about $3 for it.The only editions that came with a slipcase were the book club editions. I am undecided over a purchase or not, I mean it is pretty cool, but...I like the UK 1st cover...so do I then have to find another copy just to show off this cover...
