That's not Larry Hagman nodding, I don't even think it's James Garner. I don't know who it is. I watched Hagman in a movie recently called Hurricane(1974), it also had the actor who was the sargeant in Gomer Pyle. He invited everybody in the condo place he lived in and they had a party and started drinking and then a massive tidal surge/storm surge smashed through the window. There were quite a few well known actors in it, like the actress who was in Play Misty for Me.View attachment 24217
Howdy, JR.
No, it's the actor who played Jock Ewing, JR's father. I think his name was Jim Davis. That's not Larry Hagman nodding, I don't even think it's James Garner. I don't know who it is. Apparently it was a 'made for television' movie, because it was the rage to do those disaster movies. It's pretty good even thought the special effects look hammy now. I used to watch Dallas. I prefer the movies from the 1960's/70's movies than those today. No, it's the actor who played Jock Ewing, JR's father. I think his name was Jim Davis.
(Interesting, I haven't heard of Hurricane.)

Book Depository sources it's books from different suppliers so won't no for sure til the books arrive, Doc. These were the covers that were displayed.
They look good on your shelves. Not a purchase, a gift. Thanks to Linda king family fan for the extremely generous package! Most of the hardcovers you see are from her. kingricefan gave me a beautiful first edition of Misery. You guys have made me very happy. Huge thanks!
There are more not in pictures but I need to make room on shelves. The Bachman Books in hardcover was one, which I've been wanting for a long time. Misery, too.
They do, you outdid yourself. That had to cost a fortune. I owe you big big! They look good on your shelves.

I would love to see a pic of that Carrie drawing if someone could share it. There was talk of IT being a comic after The Stand was completed. I agree with you but I'd like to see Pet Sematary done next. Has The Talisman been done? The drawing of Carrie in the Entertainment Weekly Guide makes me long for a comic adaptation of the story of our beloved Prom Queen. But it seems after The Stand there are no plans for any more adaptations of the novels. Basically every Kingbook could make a comic in my opinion, because there are always well-drawn characters and there's a lot of visuality to his storytelling - if his books/stories let me down it's never to do with that, but more with plot-issues.
The problem with the comics though is that they get expensive soon. They don't get reprinted as much as the novels and the prices go up. For example the Dark Tower omnibusses are around 150 euro. I bought the separate hardcovers, but I regret missing out on the extra content of the Companions, which looks quite good. But 150 euro...
Has anyone ever ordered from here?
The Overlook Connection Press and Bookstore :
How do they package their products? Did you get it undamaged?

...yes, I can assure you that what was released was quality goods....I have the entirety of the stunted run, and was quite disappointed when it went off the rails.....The Talisman was done, but not completed. Peter Straub told me on Twitter it had to do with 'retail issues'. but he didn't expand on it (as far as that's possible on Twitter). It seems they made miscalculations somehow with that one. I don't know if what IS there is any good, but perhaps someone else here has read it?
You can look inside the magazine here, you can only see the It drawing, but it gives an idea:
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY The Ultimate Guide to Stephen King: The Editors Of Entertainment Weekly: 9781683300885: Amazon.com: Books
What I like is that it has such an old school feel because of the lettertype on the front and pictures of the early films.
