The Talisman was done, but not completed. Peter Straub told me on Twitter it had to do with 'retail issues'. but he didn't expand on it (as far as that's possible on Twitter). It seems they made miscalculations somehow with that one. I don't know if what IS there is any good, but perhaps someone else here has read it?

You can look inside the magazine here, you can only see the It drawing, but it gives an idea:

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY The Ultimate Guide to Stephen King: The Editors Of Entertainment Weekly: 9781683300885: Amazon.com: Books

What I like is that it has such an old school feel because of the lettertype on the front and pictures of the early films.
...yes, I can assure you that what was released was quality goods....I have the entirety of the stunted run, and was quite disappointed when it went off the rails.....
When it was announced that there was going to be a comic book version of The Talisman the owner of the comic book store where I get my Dark Tower comics from asked me if I would be interested in this series. I knew then that there was going to be a problem with it. I told him that with my limited budget that between getting the DT comics, The Stand ones and American Vampire that it would really put me in a bind to start collecting another King series. Seems I wasn't the only one that didn't have the funds for it.

Did anyone watch the Dallas remake? I liked that show, pissed of at how it ended.
I don't believe I saw the remake. I don't like those remake things like 'Gilligan's island meets the Harlem Globetrotters'. I particularly disliked the attempt to remake 'Get Smart'. I didn't like 'Falcon Crest', and 'Dallas' was better than 'Dynasty'. I think King was in 'Frazier'.

I'm going to buy a Kindle paperwhite, so I'm most probably going to get King's stuff downloaded. I got his books but it saves mucking around. I suggest anyone interested should purchase that magazine titled Sci-Fi Icons: Stephen King special, because it has good stuff in it.

I could get them, but decided against it to avoid that kind of disappointment.

What's problematic with comics is that it's hard to know when to buy them. Had I known those Dark Tower omnibusses would come I would have waited and not get the separate hardcovers. And the more recent Dark Tower comics (after the omnibusses) are only in paperback here, will they get an omnibus too?

It's the same with Buffy the Vampire Slayer comics, which follow on from the end of the tv-series. I bought the paperbacks when they came out, but now there are more expanded library editions. So, in general it seems better to wait with comics for better, expanded editions that follow later, although you're never sure IF or WHEN they will come...
The life of a comic book fan is NOT easy!!!

I have made my pre-order for the IT Blu-Ray/DVD Combo - Says it will arrive by January 15th, but I specified 2 day shipping. Could this be a typo?
Did you order through Amazon? If so, good luck getting it when they say. I waited over two weeks before they even mailed it for an item that was in stock when I ordered it. Maybe with the holiday shipping over and done with they will be able to get your order out on time?

Yep I ordered through amazon. The only time I can remember an order for me being late was because of weather conditions.
