That's weird. So the full length hardback is still available, or at least online or in used bookstores, in other words they DID already make a full length version, but now have it out in 2 parts? Basically as just another edition, right? I'm just asking so i'll know when I look online to buy the full length hardback version, or paperback, or both if they have it out in full length... I've seen them in peoples collections, so it must be available?

Under the Dome was first issued as a full-length hardcover on October 15, 2009. It was later issued as a full-length trade paperback (the large-size paperback--I've seen it advertised as the movie tie-in). It is now being issued as a two-part mass-market (small paperback). It's all the same story.

The hardcover is easily found on eBay, etc. as is the trade paperback both at a fairly reasonable price. There were 925,000 copies in the first hardcover printing, so it's far from scarce.

Thank you for the answer! When you say, the large size paperback, are you referring to the actual length up and down of the book, cover etc, or the length page wise of the book? I noticed a few of my books seem to be kind of long, up and down, and some are just the usual old fashioned normal sized paperbacks... I had no clue that meant they were trade or mass market.. WOW. That just adds more stress to me wanting to get as many editions of books as possible lol. If I'm right...?

Yes, the trade paperback is approximately the same size as a hardcover, while the mass-market paperback is the smaller size. It's funny that you mention you want to get as many editions of the book as possible--I have 19 different editions of Under the Dome!

These include the US and UK advance copies, the US and UK trade hardcover editions, the US and UK signed limiteds, a special shrinkwrapped UK mass-market set with five different covers, signed trade editions, etc. I've avoided getting the US trade paperback and mass-market paperbacks.
