Just went to the Sally Ann (AKA Salvation Army) and I got a hard cover of Christine with a dust jacket in very good condition, for one measly dollar! :m_adore:

Awesome find, congrats!! I had never been able to find that one, so I finally ordered it offline, and I think I got a Book Club Hardback Edition. It's in good shape, but in the bookshelf its quite smaller, or shorter ( up and down length wise ) then the other hardbacks. Not that it's a big deal or anything, just makes me want to find the regular hardback online now LOL.

After work today I quickly stopped at a thrift store. Found first-print paperbacks of Misery, Pet Sematary and Different Seasons (not in very good condition, but still!) and a first edition hardcover of From A Buick 8 in very good condition. All books were a dollar a piece-so SCORE!! :smile-new:

You have to say the words I changed to red in your bestest Dr. Evil voice!!!

Hey kingricefan - you will find this funny - they had messed up all their books and it was hard to find anything but I did notice Danielle Steel had been shelved in the "Horror" section! (I don't think it was a joke, actually - the lady doing the reorganizing was Filipino so perhaps just confused?)

No, she's correct, Danielle Steele does belong in the horror section.

You have to be the most well-connected King fan on the planet! Possibly the entire universe! How do you find these things?????

I've been wondering the exact same thing! I am trying so hard not to be jealous! Then again - it's probably for the best that I don't have an expensive collection. I carry around my new paperback of 'Salem's Lot in a ziploc freezer bag so it won't get ruined as I'm reading it! And that only cost $7.99 at B&N!!! ;)

You lucky @#%&.

I hope that letter isn't too spoilery, I hope we get to know the killer early on otherwise I just ruined it.

This and revival both sound so intriguing, something you can get absorbed in. I can't wait to read them (but most of us have to)

Here's my Erin Wells remarque in my signed limited Doctor Sleep:

Sorry about the quality, but it's the best I could do with my scanner.

I'm also sorry about posting the letter, Ms Mod. Since the gist of it has been posted a number of places, I didn't think it would be a spoiler.

Thanks John I just love seeing these cool things in your collection. Things I will never have but sure love the chance to see them and admire the looks of them. Alot are things I would never otherwise know about. again thank-you.

Just received my copy of the trade paperback of Salem's Lot- Studies In The Horror Film that is published by Centipede Press. Looks awesome! This was the first King book I ever read and the made-for-television movie scared the crap out of me when it was first shown on TV way back in the late '70's. Looks to be quite interesting- there's interviews from cast/crew that were done back when it was made and also newer ones from 2004 up thru 2013.
Just ordered this myself. Any additional thoughts? It looks interesting and the Amazon price with free shipping sealed the deal for me.

I bought a paperback of The Stand (in very good condition) the other day at the used book store for $3. I have an old hardcover without the dust jacket I got at the used book sale at the library last year, but this one will be much easier to lug around. It's coming up next on my reread list! :joyous:
