Just found an unread paperback copy of Drug Of Choice, written by Michael Crichton under one of his non-de-plumes John Lange, published by Hard Case Crimes. That's the same publisher that King used for The Colorado Kid and recently Joyland. Crichton wrote 8 adventure novels under this name and all are available from HCC. This was the only one that I hadn't been able to find and read previously. I really liked all of the other ones, they are a great way to spend a couple of hours. Crichton has said that they (the books) aren't meant for anything other than escapism. He wrote them while he was going to medical school.

I got When You Reach Me for $0.99 (for the life of me, I haven't seen the cents sign on a keyboard in ages) - it's a kid's book but it's so super cool. Someone read it and tell me what you think. I can't even get my kids to read it but I was totally psyched to get it for keeps.

Hi there! Yesterday I bought "The Eyes of the Dragon" in pb, Salem's Lot in pb, Wolves of the Calla in pb (Dark Tower V) .

I also got two large illustrated Dark Tower books - The Dark Tower IV - Wizard and Glass and Song of Susannah or Dark Tower VI - overall a very good bunch to add to my collection.

- it is so nice to come home with a nice bunch of books like that and only pay 23 dollars! (Plus it was buy 5 get one free so I got the cheapest pb for free! )

OMG - my smileys are not coming up today - I hope they fix that before I get back home from work! ♥

Today I found a rocking thesarus at a thrift store, and 2 pairs of jeans for my kid...what a bargain, I tell you. Didn't see any Stephen King books or any other others I wanted.. good day.
I find Stephen King books are getting harder and harder to find at the used stores. Our library doesn't carry as many as they use too. Wonder if people hold on to them more now.

There is a special place in my hometown, and I'm actually convinced it's really a small piece of heaven on earth, it's a used bookstore (not really a store but rather an old barn with several smaller buildings filled with books, various farm animals and countless cats roaming freely about, and a place for kids to play) and they have undoubtedly the best King collection anywhere- any hardcover or paperback you could imagine. The paperbacks are only a buck, and the hardcovers (most of them practically brand new) are no more than five dollars. What's great is that his section (it's arranged alphabetically) takes up a whole little nook in the back, and when I'm there, ugh- truly nothing better. It's quiet, peaceful, and just the greatest. I've gotten all my books there, not only bc the price can't be beat but also bc I like the fact that someone before me read and hopefully loved the same books before me.

Found hard back copies of IT, Stand and Eyes Of The Dragon. Think they are first editions, not really sure or bothered, but they are in mint condition. Pages still a brilliant white and all for £2.97.
Now that is an excellent haul - lucky you! and all for under 3 pounds!

Yeah was really chuffed. Went in one day and picked up IT and Eyes Of The Dragon then a few days later my girlfriend suggested we go in and check again to which I replied nah they won't have a stash of King books in the storeroom just waiting to be sold. Went in and I looked like an idiot as a pristine copy of The Stand was sitting there:) I assume it was a house clearing as the books look like they have just been printed so would seem strange for someone to keep them in such good condition to then donate them to charity.
