Based on Stephen's classic short story, Spike’s The MIst has been re-envisioned for television by Executive Producer and Writer Christian Torpe and TWC-Dimension Television. The story centers around a small town family that is torn apart by a brutal crime. As they deal with the fallout, an eerie mist rolls in suddenly cutting them off from the rest of the world, and in some cases, each other. Family, friends and adversaries become strange bedfellows, battling the mysterious mist and its threats, fighting to maintain morality and sanity as the rules of society break down.
The Mist is a new 10 episode serialized drama premiering Thursday, June 22 at 10 PM, ET/PT on Spike.

Spike.com has posted the first trailer for their upcoming series adaptation of The Mist. The 90-second “Fear” trailer offers viewers a first look at the citizens of Bridgeville and the unknown horrors that lie just beyond sight. The Mist debuts on June 22nd.

The Mist is based on Stephen’s short story from the Skeleton Crew collection. The Mist grips the reader with the tale of an ominous mist that descends upon Bridgton, Maine. The citizens of the small town soon realize “there’s something in the mist!” and seek refuge in the local grocery store.
As the mist’s otherworldly creatures claim their victims one-by-one, the citizens of Bridgton are pushed to the breaking point. Ultimately, the townspeople are forced to make impossible decisions as they confront the madness within each other and the monsters lurking within the mist.
