I finished that 2nd Lee Child story, #11 Jack Reacher...some lame title, something about bad luck and questions. Good story. Some of the same plot elements as in that 1st one I read, #18. I''ll give him another go as I enjoyed both stories and I like some of the expressions he comes up with. This Lee Child guy, he writes "eight by four boards" for what is meant to be...what is commonly referred to "four by eight sheets of plywood...sheets of OSB...drywall/Sheetrock". So he's in that same camp as Russo with his "lengthwise running foundation beams". Heh! We all have our pet peeves, hey? I wonder if Lee Child has some carpenter wanker offering free advice? Bad advice. Heh! I hope so!
And I started that Heinlein story, Podkayne of Mars. Heinlein's narrator is a...young girl raised on Mars...she has that British vibe going for her...she has not reckoned, as yet and I dearly hope she does. An okay story. Wish I had another Lee Child story to read, though.
