Lots of storms. Tornatoe weather. Sounds like Memphis is getting this weather now. It shall hit here this afternoon.School is dismissing early, just got the call. Want to get the buses out before things get to nasty. I pray no one gets a touch down for these tornatoes. This storm isnt sounding good. Arkansas was hit by one.

Windy up here in the U.P., too. Not tornado wind...maybe a Seminon wind...out of the east here. A piece of the neighbor's aluminum flashing on the eave has been loose and thundering for a week or two. These old mining houses, they have usually aluminum flashing on the bottom of the roof, the lower 20-30"...so ice that accumulates there is easier to knock off, and the neighbor's is loose making a racket.

FINALLY stopped raining! We had rain and hail from Friday evening to late last night (at least, it was still raining when I went to bed at almost midnight). I'm not complaining, though--we had a relatively mild winter, and we need the water to avoid rationing this summer (we get pretty much no rain from May-Sept/Oct.). Wait, I am going to complain--about the schools around us. Every one had their sprinklers on all during the downpour. I know they're on timers, but crap--NO ONE could go out and turn them off? *grumble, grumble. And you kids stay offa my lawn!*

Snow in my back yard...the lighter areas are where snow from the pile has been shoveled onto the grass. That tree, an apple tree, was almost completely buried at the height of the snow and the highest portion of the snow is probably 4-5' deep. 4/28/14...looks like we'll have snow well into May.

OMG!! I'm going to shut up now about my weather now.:embarrassed: It looks like you need to have a community pee. My Mother swore that urine is good for the grass.

The same here, it was snowing two days ago for three days without a pause, that was awful, impossible to go out, but still had to go to work and back home... I hope that was the last snow this year.

Central Arkansas got hit pretty badly. 16 known dead so far, towns of Mayflower and Vilonia. Same towns were hit about three years ago by a tornado on almost the exact same track. Terrible night for some fellow Arkansans.
Oh man y'all always get it a little worse than we do. Somehow when it comes over the river and hits the bluff it just goes back up in the atmosphere and away from the ground. I used to work downtown and watch storms do that. I didn't realize it was supposed to be so bad here today. And apparently right as the kids are getting out of school - that should be fun. Stay safe everybody.
