So - went to a ball game and those Americans won! (Goldeyes vs. the Gary South Side Railcats). It was 5-4 and a close game right up to the end.
My son's GF Stephanie was lucky - one of the players threw a brand new ball cap to her at the end of the game! He pointed directly at her, threw the cap and then my son Josh caught it and gave it to her - lucky kid. That's a 32 dollar cap, plus it was signed!
His name was Tyler Kuhn, an infielder or short stop.
"Kuhn, 27, has been selected as the all-star shortstop. He’s second in the league with a .361 batting average and 147 hits. He has hit .384 and four of his five home runs at Shaw Park. With runners in scoring position, he’s batting a team-leading .375 in 112 at-bats. He represented the Goldeyes as the starting shortstop for Team North in the 2014 American Association All-Star Game in July".
Plus at the end we had a lovely fireworks display, so overall a fun night out for all.
Happy Tuesday to everyone ((((SKMB)))) - this is for anyone 'under the weather' - isn't is hard to go back to work after three days off?
