I have never been a fan of SK. I tried reading a few of his books years ago. I did get through "Rose Madder" and really did not enjoy it.
I can, however, appreciate him as a writer and completely respect his talents. I am completely enjoying "On Writing." I plan to order "Secret Windows."
I want to read more of his works, but, to be honest, I can't handle scary books or movies anymore. My imagination is overactive and I scare myself enough that I don't need anyone's help. I used to read scary books and watch scary movies. After I had children, I just couldn't do it anymore. Now that I live in a 135 year old house, it is out of the question.
Could you recommend some of his works that might be more suspense or thriller without being horror/supernatural?
Thank you!
