The Seven-Per-cent Solution. I've seen this favorite Sherlock Holmes take numerous times. Nicole Williamson, despite his physical non-resemblance to Conan Doyle's description, is perfect in the role of Holmes, and Robert Duvall is the best Watson imaginable. It's a great psychological-thriller-murder-mystery-action-romance.

The Dish.
It's a true story about a satellite dish in rural Australia that plays a pivotal role in the Apollo 11 moon landing in 1969.
I just loved it. Great story, good cast (which includes Sam Neill and Patrick Warburton), and really funny.

I totally recommend this one to anyone here - it's a touching, gentle family movie.

One of the Star Wars prequels. I actually forget what it's called. It has my Ewan in it (yay!) but he has a beard (boo!). At least it wasn't the one with JarJar Binks. I'd rather stick a screwdriver in my ear than ever hear that thing again. It was the one where Natalie Portman has the twins, so I guess the last of the prequels.
Anyway, still don't see the big deal about the whole franchise.

Okay, okay, we can share :D ..I just love him so much (most of all as Christian in Moulin Rouge). I hate beards on anyone though.
Yeah, Christian is pretty special...

I didn't used to like beards very much, (no, they haven't grown on me... :Oo: ;;D ) but am okay with them now. Though, I do think Ewan is hotter without one.

*officially sharing* :biggrin2:

Um, latest movie .... ( "Hi, my name is Jack." "Hijack!" :a11: )

The Man Who Fell to Earth. Whoa.... weirder than I had remembered, and some of those sex scenes... lol. I still enjoyed watching David in his role though.
It's a real good novel. The movie story was too confusing for me, even knowing the book, and had a cheap-looking quality. I watched it ages ago, and now again recently.

Just got home from seeing The Revenant. Ooooohhhhhhhhhh Myyyyyyyyyyyy Goooooooooooooodddd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This film is brutal!!!! This is truly a gorgeously filmed movie- every scene is a work of art- the landscape is so fantastically shot and the camera work is amazing- it truly boggled my mind how they were able to get the camera to make the shots that they did. Leonardo DiCaprio shall finally get an Oscar this year! Finally! He deserves it for this one, folks. He's never been better. I wanted to kill Tom Hardy myself- that's how good Leo is in this one. This is one film that needs to be seen on a large screen, and I'm not talking about that 72 inch flat screen that you got in your man-cave.

Watched it yesterday. It's awesome.

The grizzly scene and the scene with the horse. I knew what he wanted to do with the horse corpse. But it is also a philosphical movie because of the great landscape shots.
