Gotta love good ol' Melbourne's Western 'burbs where the rain don't strike ('cause we, in Sydenham, live in a dust bowl surrounded by such beatific sounding 'burbs as Caroline Springs, Watergardens and Watervale...).
Here's a pic of a storm that just missed us, but was as pretty as a pig hoisted from a Hāngi.

We have snow.... That does not bug me too much but it is cold!!!! Today it is 16C below zero. I dont know how much that is in F. 10? It is anyway a temp that makes me curl up into a little ball and wish i could hibernate like the bears.
-30C here today. I'm staying inside. I think at around -40 C and F are the same.

That's like the dusting we got last night, the first of the winter where I live. It dropped to 0c last night with a real feel of -8c. Right now it's 2c with a real feel of -3c.

December 2015 was the warmest in the UK since records began in 1910. That's why we're feeling this cold January. It was also the wettest December on record which led to a large amount of flooding across the North of England.
