I have to disagree. I think more original movies are done for streaming because producers realize that cable/dish is going the way of the landline phone.
People are tired of paying exorbitant fees for hundreds of channels, when most watch only a small fraction of available channels.
Show creators are going where the money is.
True. If it weren't for the Netflix model, we wouldn't be getting great stuff like House of Cards, etc. The film/TV industry needs to adapt. The music industry failed to do so with the emergence of MP3/digital media and it effectively killed them.
