May have related this story already, my mind wanders. My kid and his best friend wanted me to pick them up some cheeseburgers a few weeks ago on my way home. My son doesn't like anything except meat and cheese, his friend only wanted ketchup and cheese. I order the burgers, bring them home, they pretty much rip the bags out of my hand because they're starving (couple of 12-year olds). The start unwrapping their burgers. My son immediately starts complaining that they put ketchup on his burger, while his friend is on the other side of the kitchen yelling that they DIDN'T put ketchup on his, that it only has meat and cheese. Now, both of these kids are literally about 6 feet from one another and can clearly here what the other is saying. I'm just standing back watching at this point wondering if these two kids are as dense as they seem or what. My son actually starts to walk over to the trash to scrape off the ketchup, while, at the same time his friend opens our fridge to check for a bottle of ketchup.....................At this point, I figure it's a lost cause and I just casually ask them "What if you guys just traded burgers, maybe that would work?" The look that crossed each of their faces was pretty good in the instant of realization..lol I then asked my son if he remembered where his room was or if he needed directions to the front door if they wanted to go outside later.....had both of them cracking up. These two kids are going to be driving in less than 4 years.....straight A's in school, absolutely no common sense whatsoever...lol

But the ultimate question is this: do you like it while it's still warm or prefer it after it's sat in the fridge overnight and is cold?
Warm is the short answer, but...
I'm usually only eating it mixed in with other warm ingredients so it doesn't matter. To me, it's a culinary glue to hold everything together. You?
Hellman's does have a good taste, but as FlowJoe says, only in the tiniest amounts.

I love to eat my egg salad right after I finish mixing in the mayo and a dash of mustard.

All I have to say is I am so glad I am not all of you! I love mushrooms, coconut, asparagus, beets, mayo, ketchup, rice pudding, applesauce, cheese, curry, etc. In fact, other than very "bizarre" things (like bugs, though I know they are not considered bizarre in some countries) there's not much I have an aversion to. Bring it on!
Oh - I like rice pudding NOW but as a six year old it was not what I was expecting = just the mouth feel of all these little white lumps I was not expecting!

I still dislike mutton - especially the smell of it cooking

As I've gotten older my tastes are more complex too - I've always loved beets, especially pickled.

BTW - there must be something (besides bugs) that you don't find appealing?

I was wondering that, too.

Hola!

Ever had menudo?

Menudo (soup) - Wikipedia

We use beef tripe and a pigs foot in a big pot with all the seasonings. And hominy. Lots and lots of hominy. I like the flavor the tripe gives the broth but I won't eat the tripe or pigs foot. Nope, no, no. (The texture is revolting IMO). This is considered Sunday morning food. You get to eat this after Mass/Communion. "Who's a good girl/boy?"

Hugs!
I was heating up a Lean Cuisine at work (the Sweet & Sour Chicken one) when a Filipino girl said "That smells like menudo" so I just write "Menudo" and my name on the frozen dinner when I take one to work now
