Not really angry, but one of those no good deed goes unpunished kind of irritating things.
Monday night we were outside for a while. The weather is getting ready to change, and our evenings in the backyard will be ending soon.
A dog wandered into our yard. Was beautiful, looked like she had some coyote in her. She had a collar and tags on and was really friendly and well behaved. We called the number on her tags several times. No answer. Left messages. Finally Scott loaded her up in the pickup to take her home. No answer at the door. Which, ok, maybe they were out, at work, whatever. He got the dog back into her fenced yard and came home.
You would think the owner would have called yesterday with a thank you for bringing their dog home. They had both of our numbers, in the messages. But nothing.
It got under my skin a little. No one appreciates little acts of kindness like that anymore.
