Just running in for a sugar-free decaf mocha latte with whip...
Wish us luck, dear Tet. The power's on at the house, and with any luck at all, the water, sewer and gas could be hooked up next week.
Yes. Tall Guy and your favorite Lady of Lepp could be home before Halloween.
:jammin:
Don't forget to decorate with punkins and all that Hallowe'en stuff!
Congratulations :disillusionment:

Back from work, and the doctor, and i had hoped for better news. He think he knows what it is but has ordered an xray to be sure. He thinks it is (dont know the english word here) a kind of tear or sprain or something /he called it a rupture, is that a word in english?) of the achilles tendon. No inflammation but if it is what he thinks the only way to remedy it is an operation. We'll know for sure after the xrays. Got some painkillers for when it really hurts. That means no Floorball for awhile. Sad!

Hope you get to feeling better sir. I'm always curious as to how other countries have their medical industry set up. How does going to the doctor work in your country as far as out of pocket costs to you, deductibles, etc.? Thanks for the info.

You pay perhaps 10-15 USdollars to visit the doctor and then if he can fix it by giving you a prescription you get that. In my case i'll get a time for first the xray which he then looks at and then, if necessary, the operation. Exact cost for xray dont know, i must perhaps pay another 10-15 usdollars. The basicthought behind our system is that it should be affordable for everyone regardless of income. Most of the costs for xray, meds, hospitalstays and operations are paid for by taxes that every taxpayer pay. If you, for some reason, has to go often during a year you can get so called high cost protection. When you have payed a certain sum in a year you are entitled to a big reduction of costs. To me the health care discussion in the states is rather bizarre. No political party would dream of proposing a cut in health care, they know they lose voters immediately.

I appreciate the info sir. It sounds like your country cares about its people and is not as concerned with making health care such a "for profit" industry. I wish it were that way here. I have very good insurance where I work and my recent shoulder repair surgery is still going to cost me around six thousand out of pocket even with very good insurance. Just seems insane to me. It pays not to be sick or injured in this country...lol

Again, I hope your tendon issue heals up sir. Thanks for the info.

I would probably be totally broke considering all the meds and hospitalstays i have gone through because of my epilepsy.
