Tune in tomorrow for "DiO Gets Fired"
Didn't get fired, but our department didn't win, either. No pizza party for us. More than half the little kids were too afraid to even go into the haunted gazebo. I guess the scary music, thunder, spooky sounds, and ominous look terrified them. It was fun watching mothers and fathers trying to drag them in, and the kids kicking and screaming trying to stay out. We laughed because the kids terror was exactly what we were shooting for. Halloween has to have some scare in it, right? It was pretty much even between boys and girls that were to scared to venture in. And the scary clown really creeped the kids out when they did go in. A number of times we heard the term Pennywise and It thrown about. The store gave us a bucket of candy to hand out. They said give one to each kid, but they were really small. So I gave each kid a handful. At the end when they came around to collect back the leftover candy they commented on how little I had left. I feigned perplexity and said the kids must have come around a second time because our display was so feakin' awesome. Why does everyone roll their eyes at me? :)

My daughter is my world. I've raised her to be independent, but I've also spent as much time as possible with her. I enjoy doing the Mom things with her......even with the difficult or awkward conversations, I make a point to be there for her. I'm not really upset that her dad gets to enjoy this particular "first" with her, but just a little bummed to have missed being there for it. He's a good dad, just wasn't a good husband. They sent photos before the dance, and will send more later.

That is to bad, as a mom you whould have liked to at least help with the hair or something.. to bad

I'm bummed because I picked up my new glasses yesterday, and the girl broke the little plastic thingy on the earpiece when she adjusted them.....poorly adjusted. Road signs are blurry, the glasses still don't fit my face properly. I paid extra for the premium lenses that wouldn't be blurry. I love the frames, but if they can't be adjusted to fit properly, I'll have to get a refund and start over.
.....Just the latest thing added to an already highly stressful week.
Oh well, maybe Dwight will notice me from the third row and beg me to run off with him.........it could happen.....

I,fell that way about joe hill. God he is looking like daddy this tour..

I know someone outside this forum who is so full of himself because he used to work in entertainment when he was a teenager. He doesn't anymore. He thinks the world revolves around him. He thinks everyone is beneath him. He is obsessed with himself and shows little or no concern for other people's lives.

The world is full of people like that. I mean egotistical fools NOT ex-teenage entertainers although I'm sure there are plenty of them around too.
I can't handle those self-obsessed types and normally try to give them a wide berth.
