Finally got off my lazy butt and booked a room.
So (although I'm still not sure if I will bring my groom)
I'll be there with bells on and I cannot wait to meet
Friends I've never seen before so, please, save me a seat.

Also, let me know what I can bring... What I can do
Other than some homemade cookies for the BBQ,
And how I can throw in cash to help defray the cost
Or, where I can find directions so I don't get lost.

I know there's still lots of time 'til we meet at the Kon,
Still, I'd better buy myself a shirt before they're gone.
After all, it's June already... Summer goes by fast.
Yay! 'though I may come alone, I'm sure we'll have a blast.
:grinning:

That is such great news, MrsSmeej . Have a blast!!!

Neesy Don't forget to fill out the event registration form (you should see a thread title at the bottom of the forum lists) so that we know which events you'll be attending. We need to book the space ASAP for the dinner on Saturday night and want to make sure we have enough spaces for everyone who wants to attend.

Yeay!! Looking forward to meeting you!!
Ditto for me re: what I can bring or do for the cookout!! I am still planning to help purchase the postcards. I'm guessing we'll sign those at dinner??

So, I just realized a few minutes ago that we are now at the 50 day mark!!! How did that happen?

I think stacy270 was going to make name tags. Do we need to get her a list with our user names and first names? If folks aren't board users, would we mention their connection to the board member? ie: do1you9love? and do1you9love?'s mom

As for the cookout, it says BYOB, but do we need to pitch in for other stuff? We are flying in Wednesday afternoon (it was the best deal) so we would have time to pick up paper supplies or sides, desserts, etc. etc. Just need to know what I can do. :cheerful:

Hiya! Lori and I tackled the nametags this past weekend. The tags have a blank space for people to write their names(I must remember to bring a sharpie) so people can write whatever they want! MrsSmeej -my husband Dave(coming with me) has read half a King book but I have subjected him to so many Kingish events that he now has a bunch of King friends and actually enjoys doing this kind of stuff now.:D
What hotel are you all staying at? We are booked at the Ramada in Bangor Friday and Saturday.

Wow - I'm up late - just went to the area of Cafe Press where one can order T-shirts - happy to see they will ship to Canada!

I ordered an XL mens for Josh in light blue (it might be big but will probably shrink once it goes through the dryer).

Also got a light blue XL women's T-shirt for me and just hope it's not one of those that feel tight around the neck. That always makes me feel like I'm choking or being strangled. If all goes well they should be here in a couple of weeks.

I got the light blue too! I always order mens shirts so that’s whatI got but the neck is very comfortable as is the material. There were so many styles to choose from

As you all probably know I can't make it this year. Life conspired against me bigtime.

However, if someone can, I would love to FaceTime with someone during the primary get together so I can see some faces and say hello.

If I happen to get a hot hand at the casino maybe I could make a last minute jaunt, but chances are slim. :)
