At the time, I really regretted not signing up for making candles in sand, but, now, my Silent Night comes in handy when I sing to the children. We were taught O Tannenbaum , German, in grade school for Christmas time.
And this is how people who buy/sell antiques/collectibles, me in other words, make some extra money...is it just me or do young people ie people ages 19-30 do not value things handed down to them.? my friend who is like 27 is selling her grandmothers or mothers ring for like 400. when it is appraised at like $1,100 like wow. i am surprised that she whould sell it i know she is short on money but still.

They want instant cash...
I call them the ATM generation.
I agree completely.well yeh, but i find it kind of sad that the first thing that she would sell is her mom or grandmothers ring. that would be the last thing i would sell as i would cherish the ring. but what ever i guess
Can't speak for the fairer sex however...While people watching at the beach this weekend, I noticed that every adult who accompanied a young child to the water would squee "hoohoo" or something similar as they waded in. The child would just look at said adult like "what the heck is wrong with you?" and plop down in the water.
I was able to control my laughter until a couple were pushing a baby stroller along the shore line.....the baby wasn't even old enough too coo.....and as soon as the woman's foot hit water, she stuck her head in the stroller and squealed "wheeee"...... I tried to stifle it, but laughed out loud. It probably sounded like some horrible disease borne sneeze. I'm just glad they didn't seem to hear me giggle.
My kids are just proud I get up in the morning. Can't speak for the fairer sex however...
Whenever I go in that lovely beckoning Atlantic Ocean there is a time when the water reaches a certain level that may illicit a reaction from me...
As soon as possible the boys and I just dive in headfirst to help lessen the shock...
My children really are proud when I do that.
Mine are NOW...My kids are just proud I get up in the morning.
I'm at the point now that when I am out in public with my kids, and I say something--anything, to anyone -- they sort of give this uncomfortable laugh and look at the person like, "yes, she's special, just smile and she'll go away."Mine are NOW...
Before the "episode" I was just an embarrassment...
OK it has been long enough they are heading back to embarrassment label again...
The water was close to 80 degrees. Lots of shark teeth on the beach. I'm sure their owners were close by.Can't speak for the fairer sex however...

You're one of those who squeal hoohoo, aren't you?80 degrees shmeighty degrees...
When those first waves hit you mid torso...
Most guys shiver a little at least...Notice I did say little...
Just when calling the hogs or cows baby...You're one of those who squeal hoohoo, aren't you?
They're squealing when the water is 80 degrees????!!!!! They better never come this far north and attempt to swim in the ocean. When we were kids, our parents knew it was time to tell us to get out of the water and warm up for a while when they could see our lips turning purple. I just checked a couple of the beach spots here and the ocean temp is hovering around 64-67 degrees. The water was close to 80 degrees. Lots of shark teeth on the beach. Down our way Ms Mod we often get water temps in the upper 70s and low 80s...that would explain the shark activity Sundrop mentioned...They're squealing when the water is 80 degrees????!!!!! Which is why I'm gobsmacked that anyone would be squealing about going into the water but maybe I'm misunderstanding what they're squealing about.Down our way Ms Mod we often get water temps in the upper 70s and low 80s...that would explain the shark activity Sundrop mentioned...
The water is very nice and sometimes does feel like bath water...
