No kiddimg. I live up in western Canada and we have the Canadian radio and tv corporatation (CRT
C) and they are responsible for monitoring tv and radio for canadain content. As it’s law for all radio and tv to play. 10% of canadain artists, so the radio we get like 4 bands, we get a lot of the guess who wich they only play like two of their songs, BTO wich is always taking care of business and let it roll. Burtion comings who was in guess who with randy backman and they onl6 play these eyes, oh and rush, which is usually limelight, fly by night, and Tom Sawyer. Oh and bare naked ladies. Wich is usually if I had a million dollars or the old apartment song. I can finally listen to bto’s taking care of business , as I have not been working this not having the hear that song daily. When Justin babier was popular it was awful. Lol

It’s days like these when I wish I had Internet so I could listen to kings radio stations.

The Asperger syndrome wasn't inserted into the DSM psychiatry manual until 1994. However, many great literary figures are believed to have had this condition. Some of them include H.P. Lovecraft, Jane Austen, Emily Bronte, James Joyce, and Hans Christian Anderson. Someone at another forum actually believes that Neil Gaiman might be a high-functioning Aspie, but this is just speculation. From what I read about Neil in Amanda Palmer's book, this is quite possible. Therefore, having Asperger's doesn't preclude a person's ability to write a novel. Writing and speaking are two separate worlds that utilize different skills. Ponyboy Curtis, the protagonist/narrator in The Outsiders mentioned that he was better at expressing himself on paper than through actual speech. I think a lot of writers share that quality.

They say that Tim burrton may have autism. That I believe

Wow, they actually surprised me yesterday by playing a J Geils song that wasn’t centerfold.

I can’t tell you the last time I listened to terrestrial radio for anything other than a sporting event.

Satellite radio is the same way. About 5 songs per artist that are in constant rotation.

It’s usually my iPod or a CD in the SwiftDog mobile.

I use Spotify myself, but it’s what’s on in the car since I don’t have premium to listen without internet connection.

The main reason why a lot of people won't listen to Rush is because they can't get past Geddy Lee's voice. I always wondered how much more successful they would've been if they had kept Geddy on bass and keyboards and hired a singer with a more conventional voice. They could've been a 4 piece band like the Beatles.
The thing is, Geddy's voice matured and went lower. Listen to some of the later stuff. From Grace Under Pressure on up to Clockwork Angels. And I think his younger voice, while freaking some folks out, gave the band an identity. You may not have liked it but you knew it was Geddy.

Very true. I love his newer songs. His voice is better.

Gee - thought they would at least throw in a Bryan Adams song or two. Maybe even a Celine Dion song? I've always liked k.d. Lang - she has a great voice; maybe even a few classic Gordon Lightfoot songs.

(It's probably before your time but I used to listen to Joni Mitchell "back in the day", as they say) - now I sound like a flower child of the 60s/stoner from the 70s! Ha!

Glad you don't have to listen to those same songs over and over again any more :encouragement:

p.s. Drake is a big favourite of my sons - he's Canadian too.

I went to a college that treated its students like delinquents. The faculty would confer with third parties about anything and everything. Recently I discovered that the admin were regularly submitting photos of student art to the authorities to add to their database. I didn't realize how awful that place was until I left it. I feel bad for the kids who haven't graduated yet. It was the most toxic Big Brother environment I have ever experienced. But it helps to know that I wasn't alone in the way that I was treated. Other students have shared their anonymous stories on social media. I have now distanced myself from that school figuratively and literally.

...it’s an urban legend...there is no such thing....
Ok, thanks, just making sure, I was about to get upset....lmao...

Two things I swore I'd never do upon leaving the PD, Scott.

1)Never be a supervisor again
2)Never be on salary again

Four years into my new gig, I'm now a supervisor on salary, but, it does make it a little easier to hate myself a little more every day...lmao....Hope you have a good week sir.
