We don't have to use profanity in our writing just because all the other writers are doing it. You certainly don't need curse words to get your point across effectively if you have a decent sized vocabulary. If it's not something you believe in or it goes against your upbringing, then you have to follow your conscience. Omitting curse words doesn't mean you're a wuss or a sellout. It just means you have your own set of standards. We are all free to set our own standards. What's right for one person may not be right for someone else. When you omit profanity, then more readers will have access to your words and you won't get banned from school libraries.

....yeah, leaf viewing here sucked royal big time....oooooh look, more brown leaves!....

Up the line a bit in Jim Thorpe, PA (where I fish the Mauch Chunk lake) they offer old train rides through the scenic Lehigh Valley Gorge. Fall and the changing of the leaves is their peak season. I understand this fall the number of visitors have dropped because of the lack of color in the leaves. I did the train ride years ago when it was with an old 1800’s coal train. Since they switched to a diesel-powered I have had no interest in doing it again. The coal train was great. Loud, rickety and black smoke billowing out the stack like mad. They probably switched to diesel because the coal dust and particles always came streaming back and got in your eyes.

I've got two Spice Girls CDs and I'm not afraid to use them! :blues:

(Today I went to my mother's house and dug up my old Spice Girls CDs, just for nostalgia's sake. However, I never would have imagined that I would actually still like the music! But somehow I do, they were really good, I can even say that I appreciate them more now than I did twenty years ago. I'm not even ashamed of it, haha! GIRL POWER! :victorious: )
