It doesn't look like it. While he had planned to do two more Trevor Lawson novellas, his departure from Subterranean likely means they won't happen. But who knows? His plans have changed several times, so anything's possible. Time will tell!

Thanks again for all your insight. By "likely won't happen" do you mean ever or just before the Corbett series is completed? It would be a real shame if the TL series wasn't finished. Those are fun, graphic novel type stories.

Yes. ;) I know that, as of right now, he has no plans to write anything else before he finishes the Matthew Corbett books. That could change, though, if he something grabs hold of him and won't let go.

He does know that people have enjoyed them, and he did, too. But his leaving Subterranean has likely thrown a wrench into additional volumes (and that's all I can say about that).

I agree! I'd love to read more, too.

Morgan- don't you think that this would make a fantastic movie? I would be on the edge of my seat the whole time!!
You're right - I can't believe this novel hasn't been made into a movie! What a non-stop, heart-wrenching ride of terror! He's such an amazingly descriptive writer that the screenplay should be a breeze in the right hands.

Whoa! 42 pages! Gotta add more paper to the printer!

The book was purchased and I believe a screenplay was being passed around Lalaland but every time it seemed like it was going to be filmed something happened to put a halt to it. I hope that with the female empowerment that is happening in LaLaLand that someone will give this property the go ahead and get a movie made. It has two of the strongest female leads that I've seen in a long time.

1,000% agree!! :love_heart: Both characters equally impassioned, but on completely opposite ends of the spectrum.

Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile) wrote a screenplay and tried for about seven years to get a MINE movie made. The main reason it didn't happen, from what Frank told me? Studios weren't interested in a movie with two female leads. Go figure.

Hopefully with the 'Me Too' movement that will change. The reason you listed surprised me because Mine was published after the mega hit Thelma & Louise, which proved that a movie with two female leads could be a big hit. Sometimes the mindset in Lalaland is astounding.....

I finished Cardinal Black. Another great edition to the Corbett series. Not as good as the prior book but a thoroughly enjoyable read.
On the downside, the plot is pretty simple. Julian and Matthew are the hunters during the first half of the book and the hunted in the second half. It was odd that Matthew was a secondary character during the first half and although the dynamic with Julian was interesting, all the ink invested early in the book for Julian ultimately didn't pay off. He becomes the fifth Beatle by the end. The bad guys were largely toothless tigers. Lash and Black in particular. We learn very little about Black despite giving his name to the title. His character has only a minor role and the more he is involved, the less interesting he becomes. Not enough backstory on the rest of the rogues gallery of murderers to make any of them particularly interesting. On the upside, the strongest characters are Hudson and RakeHell Lizzie. The story leaps off the page when they take center stage. Unfortunately both have limited roles in the book. Sounds like Hudson will get a more prominate role in the next book. His character has been sorely missed.
