Good morning!

The track meet was fun. It was chilly! Ugh. And my hiney is sore from sitting on the bleachers. :D

I do not have official results yet. Alison paid no attention to her times. I am pretty sure she took 2nd in the long jump, her best jump was 11' 2". I only heard one other measurement that was better.

We were sitting kind of in the middle, so the finish line for the races was hard to see. The 100, she took 3rd or 4th. The 400, 3rd. And the 200 she either won or took 2nd. In her heats, so until I can access times I won't know for sure. Nothing had been entered yet when I checked this morning.

It was fun though. She did well and it still just smacks me upside the head from time to time what a confident young lady she is. I still struggle with that at MY age. She definitely did not inherit my shyness and self doubt and I am so glad for that.

Congrats to Alison! Sounds like she did well for her first meet. It's always different when they have competition other than their teammates.

I'm with you about the running. My daughter runs and runs well. She looks like she's enjoying it. She has a runner's build and doesn't look like she is straining, even when she is passing other people! I have had bad knees all my life and never been able to run very well. Now, I would not run if something was chasing me! No wheezing for me. I'd either turn and fight or curl up and play dead, depending on what the something was and my mood in that given moment!

I don't think cannabis has ever been legal where I live and I have never seen or smelled it!
This is CBD oil which is used for pain and/or anxiety as well as lots of other medical uses.

"I don't do this for fun." Patients are hopeful Texas will expand access to medical cannabis

I actually got an ID card in the mail yesterday that identifies me as a patient and that I am "authorized to possess medical marijuana in Canada" :D - I was referred by my family doctor to a place called National Cannabis Access - it took over a month but I finally got in to see their doctor.

It's been legal here in Canada since last October.

I do notice my card expires September 24th of this year which is about six months after I was given my initial prescription so I guess I need to do a follow-up with that doctor.

It smells....I don’t mind the smell of vaping.. we do have rules or where you can smoke pot.. sone apartments ban it. In the suites and you can’t smoke near children or public places
That's why I prefer the CBD oil - you just place the drops under your tongue and you can control the dosage with an eye dropper (but don't put it in your eyes lol)
I figure it is not any worse than alcohol and possibly better for you but we will see how it goes. I go back to see the doctor on April 24th.

Interesting. Dr. Phil’s show is kind of a double-edged sword for me. On one hand, it can be guilty-pleasure entertaining to watch the kinds of people on it. On the other, it’s mostly just parents stupidly putting their child with actual problems on TV for the world to see instead of giving them therapy (sometimes it’s the parents that seem to be the ones who need help) or brats who end up receiving social media fame for their appearance. You should get your child therapy before turning them over to television. Especially when it’s the people actually suffering from mental illnesses, I can’t believe Shelley Duvall’s appearance, poor woman.

November 18, 2018 was the 40th anniversary of the mass suicide. Maybe that contributed to the spark of interest.
