We had a pretty good weekend. One of my aunts and my cousin were in town, my cousin was dancing in a competition here. So they were here for most of the afternoon on Saturday. Brandon and Marti and the kids came over too, and we had a nice visit, all of us.
I got my first smiles from Spencer, oh my gosh. Is there anything else that makes your heart just swell up to bursting as when a baby smiles at you? *swoon*
Brandon and his family stayed for dinner. I invited my aunt and cousin to stay too, but they were ready to get checked into their hotel and relax after their drive and everything.
It was a really good day.

I am pretty sure she took 2nd in the long jump, her best jump was 11' 2". I only heard one other measurement that was better. 
Good job Alison. wow. That's a long way to jump. I would try to jump and my uterus would fall out and drag behind me leaving a snail trail. Which is where they would mark the jump. Damn.Good morning!
The track meet was fun. It was chilly! Ugh. And my hiney is sore from sitting on the bleachers.
I do not have official results yet. Alison paid no attention to her times.
We were sitting kind of in the middle, so the finish line for the races was hard to see. The 100, she took 3rd or 4th. The 400, 3rd. And the 200 she either won or took 2nd. In her heats, so until I can access times I won't know for sure. Nothing had been entered yet when I checked this morning.
It was fun though. She did well and it still just smacks me upside the head from time to time what a confident young lady she is. I still struggle with that at MY age. She definitely did not inherit my shyness and self doubt and I am so glad for that.

I was laughing with Brandon (he was there with me, too chilly for the baby to come and Miss Sage got sick right before so she didn't get to come. RJ with his mama until tomorrow.) about the running. There was one kid who actually ended up lapping the stragglers in the 1600m and wasn't even breathing hard. And he also easily won the 800m. I said you would be picking up my wheezing fat butt over there, around turn 2.
