It looks great and seems faithful to the novel. At this point, (being so disappointed with the Dark Tower developments) I look forward to it and can't wait!!!

There are several very good ones, but the best first pages for me would definitely be "Misery". Others that come to mind are Under the Dome and Cell.

Just for the record, I just read not_nadine's reply and I took no offense. I guess my post was misunderstood. Everyone knows that "half a dozen" is six, but that is not what I meant and is besides the point. I have read all of SK's books except for the few that are waiting for me on the shelf...

Well, I did watch it...barely did it. I liked it a lot even though it was missing video and sound effects. It got me really excited and now I can't wait for its final release. The title of it seemed to entertain that it was meant to be the first international draft version. Regarding the story...

And I did enjoy it... without trying to explain it, that is the best way. I think this short story is perfect to pass it along to one of my kids and see if anyone gets hooked up with SK...like their dad is....:biggrin2:

I like the look of Idris's costume, however Matthew's costume looks modern and not aged at all, not at all like I pictured him, too simple in a way. But then again, it might be due to the variations on some details being plausible.

Well, I just don't know what's up with the extra long sleeves on both the man in black and the gunslinger, as seen in their pics from the shooting in NYC these past days. Idris's do not look that bad, but MM's I think they do.

All I can say is that the comics so far have covered from the time when Roland was a teenager up to DT2. So the comics at times have some other aspects not covered in the books, but you cannot say that the comics tell a different story.

Just saw the pics, they don't look bad, although he doesn't look at all like the way I pictured the gunslinger from reading the books, but well....what can we do? Now, if it is true that the first movie will start in book 5, where is Susannah and Eddie???? :umm:
