Welcome Heather Gonzalez (and daughter). :watermelon:
This is indeed a "cool site" and having questions answered by our beloved Moderator and staff is the next best thing to SK answering them himself!
I'm finished. Loved the ending. Loved the book. The most well-written and intelligent "horror" novel I've read in a while. Although I would classify it as dystopian first before horror.
The Exorcist. The book and movie. Probably tame by today's standards, but as a preteen (when the book was published in 1971 & the movie released in 1973) this was one wild, disturbing ride that stays with me to this day.
Welcome! :watermelon:
I think your answers lie in the fact that SK wrote this book with a blindfold on and just randomly hit letters on the keyboard. At least, that's how it reads to me. ;)
I'm about 3/4 through Josh Malerman's Bird Box and really liking it. Well written and thought out, it lives up to its good reviews so far. I have read that some were disappointed in the ending though. I'll wait and see to make my final judgment.
Annie Wilkes. No disrespect meant, but at every job I've had the one crazy woman in the company ALWAYS gravitates to me and winds up loving me. I feel Annie Wilkes would just become a another "friend" of mine. :)
