    Daniel Johnston

The cult singer/songwriter. Subject of a great documentary "The Devil and Daniel Johnston." Suffered from various mental illness but was an inspiration to many other artists including Bowie and Cobain. Only 58. Some really great songs if you have never heard of him (some really awful ones...

    Alternative Title

Moving on to IT. Another iconic book that would be hard to imagine with another name but here goes: 1) The Losers Club 2) Pennywise the (dancing) Clown 3) The Barrens

    Alternative Title

I thought I would try my hand at picking an alternative title for each book. The Stand is iconic so it's hard to think of it with another title but I would go with "Captain Trips."

    Room 104 (HBO)

This is a weird show on HBO that has some potential. Each episode is set in the same hotel room with a different cast each week. It has some horror, comedy, drama elements. A bit like the Twilight Zone.

    The Autopsy of Jane Doe

A pretty good horror flick just released. It has the feel of a good Twilight Zone episode as made in the 21st Century. The ending is a bit flat and contrived, but otherwise entertaining.

    Devoid of humor?

King's books often seem completely devoid of any humor. My impression is that humor plays an important bonding role between the characters in his books - often sharing some type of inside joke - but from the readers perspective there is rarely anything that comes across as intentionally...

    Sinister Snow Globes

These Martin and Munoz snow globes are very cool. Puts me in mind of Charles Addams, Edward Hopper, or King. Pricey though if you can even find one. Snow globes filled with sinister scenes of people in peril|Dangerous Minds

    Fangoria

Did this horror mag go kaput? I haven't seen it on the news stands for many months now but there is nothing on their website. If so, that is too bad since it has been around forever.

American Horror Story - Roanoke 6

Some buzz on the Internet that the upcoming season will have a connection to The Mist. I wonder if King has been involved at all?

    Gene Wilder

A lot of memorable films. "Young Frankenstein" was probably my favorite. Wonka a close second.

    Props auction?

Just wondering if Hulu intends to auction off any of the props from the show? Maybe for charity. Given how well everything associated with King is selling it might raise some money for a good cause. There were some pretty cool 60s stuff. For example, I was shocked that they found a near...

    Nate Thurmond

Hall of fame basketball player from the days of yore. Nate "the great." He was a warrior both literally and figuratively with the Golden State Warriors.

    Smoking at gas stations

I see this more and more. People driving through a gas station smoking a cigarette or smoking one as they walk into the store. Incredibly dangerous. It's a miracle one doesn't blow up every day. The attendants don't seem to care though.

    National Book Festival

Any idea if King will be signing books at this event? The Wash Post indicated he would be attending.
