I've been wondering this for quite a while, and I'd really like to hear what everyone, including Stephen King, thinks:

If you could form a band comprised of characters from King's works, who would you include, and why?

Assume that this is probably a standard rock band, meaning there are drums, guitars, a bassist, perhaps a keyboard player, and of course a lead vocalist, in any one of many possible configurations. Let's start with that.

Or, if it deviates from that template, then come up with something else and explain your rationale. For example, any five or six characters of the vampire persuasion might make a decent goth synth band, but then let's establish each new possible standard and take it from there.

I imagine that the choices of personnel would be based upon temperament and personality, rather than actual musical ability, for which there is likely little basis. Also, assume that this gathering could take place while they are all within the same age range, regardless of when their stories take place, and in the same geographical location, regardless of their setting.

So, let's hear what you all have to say! I'll start with:

Eddie Dean (Dark Tower series) - drums and occasional screams
- Plenty of the nervous energy that many drummers possess. I see him as a poor man's Keith Moon type.

Larry Underwood (The Stand) - Lead vocals and rhythm guitar
- This should speak for itself.

Beverly Marsh (It) - Keyboards and backing vocals
- She has endured more than enough damage to justify some credible wailing backing vocals while flailing away on her Hammond B-3 and wearing heavy eye make-up.

Danny Torrance (The Shining; Doctor Sleep) - bass and occasional backing vocals
- Quintessential bass player type. He has a vast inner world which he frequently gets lost in, and he intuitively knows how to help steer the band in the right direction live.

Chris Chambers (The Body) - Lead guitar, no time or inclination for backing vocals
- Chris is very, very dedicated to his craft. He's always had a badass streak, but would find discipline in working hard as he matured. Learning the guitar gave him solace from his troubled home life, and he was able to afford top shelf gear once he entered the legal profession, qualifying him for the "blues lawyer" label of guitarists who can afford a vintage Les Paul.
