Hi all. Maybe you can help with these questions.

1. Why is Part II (Arnie - Teenage Car Songs) in third person, and not told through Dennis?
2. Many people have mentioned there are song lyrics in the beginning of each chapter? What edition is this and could you provide an example. Mine doesn't seem to have them.

Hi, SKJL. I don't know the answer to second question but regarding the first one, King has said he'd written himself into a corner by telling the story in 1st Person. Dennis Guilder couldn't possibly be present for (or witness to) all the killings in the story. The solution was to switch to 3rd Person. It wasn't a delicate switch, but I have gone on record as saying I like the novel as it is.
Welcome!

My.... what a welcome. So, I see a few of you are interested in the answer to question #1.

The reason my copy of the book (the most recent version, the one with a Fury on the front surrounded by fire, the title written in 1950s car chrome) does not have the song lyrics is because royalties weren't able to be paid, I understand. I think all of the other versions have them. ;)

I can't help feeling that Christine will get a remake one day, because of all the King stuff happening now.
British director Johannes Roberts (The Other Side OF The Door, 47 Meters Down, Storage 24, Strangers; Prey At Night) has stated he would love to direct a remake of Christine but he doubts he would be allowed to do so.
