What are some of your favorites? I feel Album covers are an art form, they have to have appeal of some sort, whether it be simple, abstract, etc. Especially when it comes to Vinyl, where it’s big and clear to see, you don’t get that kind of cool artwork digitally (Although Vinyl is making a comeback).

The psychedelic imagery in this one makes it a very unique image, you got the guy dreaming of skyscrapers with animal heads. Strange, but awesome

Sticking with the theme of animals, I like the symmetry of this artwork. The cool colors used really makes it easy to look at. The owl itself is also very cool looking.

No, I’m not joking. The complete absence of a cover and it’s simplistic design makes it iconic. Maybe because it’s my favorite album of all time that makes me want to defend the cover as unique, but I like it.

Iconic art with some striking modern imagery, the checkerboard pattern compliments it nicely. It also makes the viewer’s mouth water at the sight as well.

For the inevitable Blue Öyster Cult spam, and for its zaniness, I choose this. After their first two albums (Blue Öyster Cult, Tyranny and Mutation) had super abstract artwork, this was the first one to feature a new style. You got the gang standing in front of a ME-262 branded with their logo while Eric Bloom wears a cape and has four German-Sheppards leashed. In the background you can see some figures wearing sombreros and in the cockpit there’s a spooky skeleton.

Great thread, Red! I need to think about it and see what I can find. I remember liking U2's Rattle and Hum cover but it was not that spectacular.

Probably a tie with Let it Bleed for my favorite stone’s Album, has some strange but unique art. I like how there’s two layers to it that separate when you take it out of the slip case.
