After reading "The Dead Zone" I thought it was the best book I'd ever read. Then I read "Misery". My views have changed.

I get the feeling that this is going to happen with most of Stephen King's books. I think that the most recent one I've read is going to be my favorite.

Now it's time to get into "The Gunslinger"...

I did not like the Gunslinger as much as the rest of the Tower books. Once you get to the Drawing, it will seem like your world is filled with magic. You will want to live in that other world where Gilead rules. Good luck and good reading. I wish I could experience the Tower books for the first time again.

...your views WILL change, book to book & story to story...and as an old fart, I will tell you when and if you re-read down the path of years, your senses and opinions will be steered in different directions than your "first time"...

I just picked up "Misery" once again - finished Hearts in Atlantis which I adored - one of these days I will get around to "Revival" which I have had since Christmas - glad you're enjoying your journey Malachi :encouragement:
