How do you use Bi- weekly, Bi -monthly ?

I try to only use it to mean "occurring every two" or skip the bi- altogether and say " every two weeks/months". If someone else uses it, I will ask them to clarify what they mean.

I've gotten sick so many times from eating other people's cooking. It usually happens at office get-togethers. How do you politely decline a coworker's cooking without hurting her feelings?
If I'm visiting someone's house and I don't want to eat anything I thank them for the offer of food but say I have a tummy bug and I don't want to aggravate it.
Why do people worry so much about possibly offending others? I have often just said 'no thanks, I'm not hungry at the moment.'
I just smile and say 'no thanks'. If they get offended, that's their problem. I've eaten at office parties and tried to sample every person's food, but I usually let it be known I am a picky eater. For example, I don't eat cheese. Most people understand.
This is a good idea. The reason I always worry about offending others is because I work with snowflakes.

I use "biweekly," "bimonthly," and "biennially" to mean, respectively, every two weeks, every two months, and every two years.
To my logic, the "bi/two" is referring to the time designation, not the occurrence. In other words, if language was consistent, if you wanted to say "two meetings a month," you'd said "bimeetings a month," but we don't do that.
So how in the world do we indicate two meetings a week, or a month, or a year?
We have our meetings semiweekly, semimonthly, or semiannually.
