Personally, I think the owners need the psychologist! The vet will put the poor cat on meds, not solving the issue of a family who misunderstands and mistreats their "pet". Hopefully this pet psychologist will see the real issues and suggest adoption of Lux.

I heard on the news several people have offered to adopt the cat. The owners have refused to let the cat be adopted. I think that they should let the cat be adopted, if they can not treat the animal properly.

What bothers me is that the cat was returned to the family. Cats and babies/ cats and dogs can get along. There are other issues here. I'd suspect a degree of mistreatment to the cat. And definitely see it when the cat was kicked. There are ways to have cats and babies in the same household. The video has the police officer stating "mediation". I think the family, if they keep the cat, needs a visit for Jackson Galaxy ( the Cat From Hell- Animal Planet).
