The story is another matter. I enjoyed it. As I mentioned before, I like the way Stephen King narrates the story through a child's perspective. It seems he has always had a knack for this.
Once again he was able to drum up sights, smells, thoughts and memories that I had as a young boy. I am personally not a tremendous fan of what I would call "super fiction", as more believable events are far more horrifying to me.
Having said that, the build up to the "scary" events were smooth as silk as always and descriptively disturbing. That is part of what we pay for, right?
