Well, I have heard tell of Angels In The Outfield.Tebow will need his pal Jesus to help him hit major league pitching....
Sox kicked the snot out of the Jays today. Jays had a bad case of erroritis tonight as well. Tres sloppy defense on their part.
Now the worst that can happen is that the Sox leave Toronto tied for first. I'd like to see a sweep and be 4 games up but I don't think that will happen.
Seems they all took lessons from Travis. It was bad. Even Donaldson dropped the ball...literally.
I have a question for you. Tulo was on first and Navarro popped the ball up in the infield. I understand inside fly rule. Ball is out of play so an infielder can't intentionally drop the ball and create a double or even triple play. But the ump called Tulo out for interference and put Navarro on first. It wouldn't have mattered in the ball had been dropped, so why was that a legit call?
It obviously made absolutely no difference in the result of the game. I just want to understand. And no....I am not blaming officiating for the loss. The Jays did that. Boston helped.
Tulo collided with the first baseman Ramirez while he was trying to make a play. Automatic interference call.
...try being a Reds fan this year....it's like the Browns put on baseball uniforms.....Btw. Just looked at today's line up. I don't think they even want to win. Saw two names that should not be playing and both are listed.
I think I'm going to Walmart.
September baseball hurts!

But the play was to catch an out of play ball...so no play to interfere with.
And didn't Ramirez actually catch the ball? Which would mean Navarro was out. And even if he didn't catch it, due to infield fly rule....Navarro was out.
Uh oh. multitasking. Gets me in big trouble every time!If the ball is not caught, is it possible everyone could have been safe?
Did Ramirez catch it? (Sorry, I sew while watching the game, so I miss stuff.)

Ball was not out of play. Ramirez had a play on it. Runner collided with him. Clear interference call.
After much searching and making and eating half a batch of fudge.....
If the players were idiots, they could have run. So, ball is live. (Considering how the Jays played that game, guess they played it smart just interfering instead of both attempting to run.)
Ramirez must not have caught the ball then because Navarro would have been out.
Interference call nullifies the fly out. Ramirez did make the play.
