Beaver and Martha from Storm of the Century

    I'm re-reading this novel currently, and it just dawned on me that Beaver Clarendon and Martha Clarendon from Little Tall share the same last name. Normally I wouldn't make much of that but it doesn't seem to be all that common of a family name?

    If they are related, I'd say the Clarendon's have some nasty luck when it comes to meeting their ends at the hands of supernatural bad guys :)

    So enjoying this re-read.

    ...many of the "family" names are interrelated, come from names he knows, or even the odd phone book now and again...

    ...possibly because it was anything but a happy story...not that King is known for "sunset" endings, but this one was grim all the way through, with none of the sly King humor...
