Just throwing this out there but your idea of doing one birthday recognition post for those who haven't regularly posted or who haven't been around in the past, say 3 months, instead of a separate post for each one is a great one and would cut down on the amount of work the birthday recognition volunteer and the moderators have to do. Doing a special post for those who are regular members of the community makes sense so they get recognized individually.Whew! I'm beat!! Someone else has to volunteer for September next year!!

Tomorrow November 7th is AchtungBaby 's birthday but he has not been seen since May 22nd.
Just finding lately that most of the birthdays are of members who joined one day and then were not seen again. (e.g. Just go to Members, and then look up Today's Birthdays).
Nevertheless I will check every day just to see if there are some significant ones, even if they are few and far between
