Also - the SKMB message board will close in 2020 when Marsha retires - for now it is just 'winding down' to three days a week (open three days and closed for four days) i.e. Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday

My estimate for this year is around 150 days open, not counting vacations. Then there's January to June of 2020.

Just did... and I do understand, but when you say the message board will close in 2020, does that mean what I think that means? Closed, as in shut up shop, unable to log in at all, indefinitely closed, keep a knocking but you can't come in close in 2020?

That is correct- however, the stephenking.com site will remain open, just no access to the MB.
Have you seen an alternative for when the SKMB is closed on weekends?

If it's any consolation to you, I lost a week of vacation when I went to part-time so only get 3 weeks now. I was upset at first but since I got permission to work from Arizona, I figure I gained 2 weeks since I don't have to take vacation time to come here. I know it's still 3 weeks regardless, but gives me that time to take another way.

If it's any consolation to you, I lost a week of vacation when I went to part-time so only get 3 weeks now. I was upset at first but since I got permission to work from Arizona, I figure I gained 2 weeks since I don't have to take vacation time to come here. As I'm looking out at the pool from my office in the guest bedroom (not a bad commute) and thinking about the temps going up in the '60s today, the trade-off is well worth it!

Like rubbing it in do you? Last two days here have been about 8 degrees, and we had snow followed by ice Saturday/Sunday.

Not hot yet (at least by my standards) but a LOT better than New England. My daughter texted me a photo of her thermometer saying it was 3 degrees and I think they got 8" of snow before it turned to sleet/freezing rain.
