First off... I'm new to this board... so I'll start by saying... Hiya... hola... hello... hey.. hey.. hey..
So yeah, I'm new here but a long time fan of Stephen's work. I think the first King film I saw was Firestarter and I remember the night very vividly, I was around 11 or 12 and I had just gotten home from the beach and after several hours in the sun I had a horrible headache (I always get headaches in the summer, sadly). I turned on the tv and tried to rest in bed and Firestarter was on and as she was casting fire, I remember feeling like I was on fire so it felt like a fitting film to watch. It was the edited for TV cut of the film but I don't think there are any huge differences between the two. Anywho, after Firestarter I jumped to Christine, Silver Bullet, etc, and so on. As for reading Stephen's books, I've read Firestarter, Christine, The Mist, and various others. Stephen's longer novels take me quite awhile to get through and I blame the internet, it kind of has sidetracked me from reading like I used to. I used to put down 2-3 books a month before the net but after the net, its like 2-3 books a year.
As for my other hobbies, I'm a child of the 80's so I listen to a lot of 80's music still and I still prefer physical albums over digital and I recently became a tea addict and kind of dropped coffee, which is weird. I used to have more hobbies but I cut back, I used to be into gaming but it costs a fortune to keep up with the hardware needed to play the newer titles, like the new Tomb Raider game that looks interesting.
As for my name... an ex girlfriend called me a Deviant eons ago and Deviancy just popped into my head. However, most who know me just call me "Dev", feel free to do ths ame.
Other than that.. I can't think of anything else to share... at least not yet.
