It was yesterday or the day before she announced she is postponing it, because she is still feeling while not well, well enough to want to spend more time here.

Terminally Ill Brittany Maynard May Postpone Taking Her Life - ABC News

"I still feel good enough, and I still have enough joy — and I still laugh and smile with my friends and my family enough — that it doesn't seem like the right time right now," she says in the video.

"But it will come because I feel myself getting sicker. It's happening each week."

Well, I'm glad she is having good days with her family. Sweet thing.

...I'm an RN, and by licensure-sworn to preserve and save life...however, I also feel to the depths of my soul-that each of us should have the right to decide our path to our clearing, without pain, with love and with dignity...to that end, I salute her efforts and may she go quietly and beloved...

Life is not fair, was not meant to be fair, but now and then something comes along to remind us that it can be viciously unfair.

So very sorry for her and her family. But she went out on her own terms, feeling the love of her family, her family feeling her love. She's to be honored.

As a veterinarian, one of the the greatest gifts I can give my patients is a peaceful death that limits suffering and declining quality of life. I hate that it is so difficult for people to have that same thing without judgement. While some want to fight and do everything possible to lengthen time without concern for quality, others would rather have fewer days feeling great. I'm glad she is finally at peace and her family was able to be with her at the end.

She was a beautiful young woman who did not deserve what happened to her and dealt with it with strength and courage. I hope that her exit from this world was a peaceful one, filled mostly with thoughts of love. Please, may it someday be the case that a person does not have to move to another state to have the right to do what she did.
