I went to download Blaze and, after reading the description, realize I've read it before! Ah me and my poor memory Amazon does not seem to offer Rage in e form?

Stephen pulled publication of Rage quite some time ago after a few school shootings so you won't find it. The only way you would be able to find it (legally) is on the secondary market, e.g. an older version of The Bachman Books. Harder to find would be the original paperback edition.I went to download Blaze and, after reading the description, realize I've read it before! Ah ha! Took me a while but I think you are referring to that 'other SK'? Clever! Did you really read any of them?Welcome.
(I’m not a fan of The Crossroads Series. )
No freaking way!!! Don't believe in feeding parasites. The guy couldn't have added his middle name or initial, because 'Stephen King' is already a well-established author... so as not to confuse readers?Ah ha! The Bachman Books paperback or the standalone "Rage" one?Stephen pulled publication of Rage quite some time ago after a few school shootings so you won't find it. Stand-alone Rage. I have hardcover copies of The Bachman Books so forgot about the paperback edition of that one.The Bachman Books paperback or the standalone "Rage" one?
That's what I have. BB in paperback. Didn't seem like it should be rare, so thought I'd ask.Stand-alone Rage. I have hardcover copies of The Bachman Books so forgot about the paperback edition of that one.
Hi skimom,Favorites: The Stand, Wizard and Glass, Joyland, 'Salem's Lot, Different Seasons, It, The Colorado Kid
Least favorites: the 'alien' quartet (Tommyknockers, From a Buick 8, Dreamcatcher, Under The Dome--aliens do nothing for me, though I know plenty of people who love these books), The Regulators.
The jury is still out on Revival--I need to read it again to make up my mind.
You can easily get Rage in a Bachman Books compilation--the trade paperbacks are not hard to find, and are usually pretty cheap, even on EBay.
Mr. King has such a wide range of stories that it's not surprising to find one that doesn't appeal Aliens just bore me, but in contrast my oldest son loved Under the Dome--aliens terrify him and have since he was a little kid. Different strokes, right?Hi skimom,
Thank you for your response. I guess I agree with you on the aliens theme. Tommyknockers and Dreamcatcher are less to my liking as well. Now that I think about, the alien stuff actually drove my mom away from King. I don't think she reads him anymore.
Back in the days before e-readers, I had an acquaintance who noticed I was reading an SK novel and felt the need to comment that she would never read another SK work because of IT. Apparently she was personally affronted because that particular novel was not to her liking. It has always seemed odd to me that with such a prolific writer as King one would take a stance like that over one piece of work. I don't think my mom is in that category. Just think she lost interest.Mr. King has such a wide range of stories that it's not surprising to find one that doesn't appeal Aliens just bore me, but in contrast my oldest son loved Under the Dome--aliens terrify him and have since he was a little kid. Maybe your mom would give him another chance with something like Dolores Claiborne. That book and The Dead Zone are my go-to recs for mature readers who still like a little bit of the eerie mixed in with a whole lot of realism.
