I haven't watched the first season yet (but it's on my radar) but I'm not too thrilled with them continuing a story about our favorite nurse at all. Plus, she has spawned a child. WTF??!!
I'm thrilled that Tim Robbins will be joining the cast!

Is Annie ever mentioned as being in Castle Rock in the novel? It's been a while since I've read it.
Okay, once again, I am the cheese who stands alone. I think this is very exciting. I can't wait to see what they do with all this. For now, I am optimistic and anxious for it to start.
if you see the first season you will kind of understand. its new story based on existing stories and characters. not sure how to explain it. i loved the first season. I think it will be interesting to see how this will unfold. that and out of respect for king jj abrams most likely has asked king permission or has at least explained to him what they want to do with characters.. they did so with pangborn and sissy's character last season
i shall come and join you in the cheese pit.... i think this will be cool..... it will be explained, perhaps she had a kid and the kid ran away due to her mom being odd. or crazy. perhaps this will give us more explanation to why Annie is cray cray. i think this will be fun.... its kind of like how everyone forgets Margret whites motivation and how she thought that Carrie was a demon child...... and must be destroyed or what ever.... i think it will be good

I just found this. I love this podcast. I don't always agree with them but they are good people and give a balanced review of kings work and stuff. this season of castle rock sounds awesome.

Guys, Castle Rock is not a retelling and nothing is canon from the past. They are creating their own universe with characters, settings, and themes. I don't get what everyone is upset about. It changes nothing, it's just adding content outside of the SK universe we know.

Sometimes some of us can be like Annie Wilkes when it comes to changes being made with the story/characters of King tales. We don't mean any harm.
I finished watching season 1 a few months ago and was underwhelmed. It comes across as SK fan-fiction. I hope season 2 is an improvement.
Season 2 will premiere Wednesday, October 23 — just in time for Halloween.
