Biggest change, I think, was the gutting of Mike's character. In the novel he's the one with the love of Derry's history, not Ben. The change makes sense but it left Mike with much less to do.hi I have not read the book, and I was wondering what the changes where. Thanks, I just saw the movie and I really liked it

If I were you I'd go read the book to find out what you've missed out on. Plus you'll get to meet the Losers as adults.
Hi Hill lover 35, I read the book a few times in the past and have heard the phrase 'we all float down here' but I don't remember reading anything about people actually floating, like that scene in the movie. Also, the house on Neibolt Street was entered via a cellar window, not through the front door. In the book they made preparations to face IT, there didn't seem to be any preps made in the movie. I think the movie nailed the heart of the story, despite any niggly little differences between the book and the film. I'll end this by saying you should read the book. It is very, very good. All the best, mal.
He definitely doesn't write like his Dad does. Owen's got his own 'voice'.Thanks I will read the book eventually right know I am reading Owen king's book to get a scense of his writing before sleeping beauty's comes out

Ayuh. I was just thinking last night how much of the 'Dad' character in Double Feature was based on real events. I hope not much because I didn't care for that guy at all....very good with his style, but worlds and worlds away from dad.....
