Somewhere over the rainbow
Hello everybody... Hoping everyone is well
And you haven't started feeling like you're in a cell.
Praying that your families are healthy and employed
And the time you're spending with them is time you've enjoyed.

Now that Spring is in the air, I'm venturing outside
'though, I must confess, that it's the first time that I've pried
My fat tucchus off the couch in weeks - except to bake.
(Not sure how much more banana bread my gang can take.)

Here in Massachusetts, with 4,000 people dead,
Even shopping for essentials can inspire dread.
I feel like I'm stuck inside a book by Stephen King
Waiting for what new calamity the day will bring.

Meanwhile, some small businesses are opening in states
Who think they're prepared to face rising infection rates.
I am hoping that they're right but terrified they're not...
But, I guess I'd better stop before this Topic's Hot.
:a24:
Let's just say I'm thinking of you... Sending thoughts and prayers
Hoping that you're staying safe and COVID-19 spares
You and all your loved ones from this terrible disease...
And, to you essential personnel - Be careful! Please.

SIOS in 2003?

Did he maybe mean SARS?

Here's something positive - we can go get haircuts now in Winnipeg - I'm going on Thursday to see my hairdresser (she works out of her home)
I think he meant SIDS (were there an unusual amount of crib deaths during that time?)? Maybe SARS? I have no clue. Thought it was a cool inscription though.

Yes - pretty cool and quite appropriate for this thread - congrats on the CERB windfall! (You will only have to pay about 15% of it back on next year's taxes) [I think] :encouragement:

I think we’re all a bit tired of coronavirus about now and all the bad news that we hear about it. It’s also becoming way too political and we don’t need to hear about that either. For that reason and because the other coronavirus thread has gotten way too far into the HT territory (my apologies for my part in that), I’m closing down the old one and starting this one.

This thread will only be for the good news stories related to coronavirus. Sounds like an oxymoron but they’re out there, including from our own members, so let’s have more sharing of those. Fair warning: any other posts that start drifting into HT will be deleted. There are plenty of other places on the internet where you can go if you want to talk about what a bad job the (fill in the blank) government is doing, why can't we reopen quicker, conspiracy theories, etc. so no whining about censoring your opinions. You're free to express them there.
This is good. :)
I don't think you or anyone else needs to apologize, Ms.M
A sneaky Hot Topic snuck up on us ALL.
This damn COVID19 touches on everyone's different core beliefs and principles in ways none of us really expected.
I really don't think anyone wanted it to become unpleasant and so controversial.
Now we get start again and do better, and do it right. :)

Except on the Speedo's! Still gonna be an advocate for that endangered species! Great face masks, got big eye holds....all the better to see you with my dear! xD ;;D:wink:

(I knoooooow......the Taco's are fresh in the penalty box today. Bad Wolf....I'm going. :D ;) )
