YUP! We have 3 rescued cats. This is what we fear every Christmas. I even bolt down the tree down to the platform, but 2 of the cats are Mack Trucks... And why we have to buy new stuff every year. Ingrates!

Our dog gets his own stocking every year. Keeps him distracted from everything else.
The cats are good about gifts under the tree, but when I had "Spideyman" and Mack, Everything!!!! under the tree was considered theirs. So, I would wrap empty boxes and place those under the tree. They could do as they desired.
My cats respect the power of Mr. Christmas Tree and my disco light system.
Cats respect nothing. They’re just planning their magical mayhem for the most inopportune time.

I bought my cat Bailey a lobster costume for Christmas - hey! It's red, right? That is a Christmas colour. I just haven't had enough nerve to try it on him yet.
