Since I read the dark tower I have felt that my encounter with her has been supernatural. I would like to open a thread of conversation sharing as it has been my experience, in general terms my main objective was that Stephen King Leyera, however I think it will not be entirely possible, for now.

With what I open a forum for the purpose of knowing if you have heard at some point the song of the turtle. That is, if in the book you have seen, heard, lived the signs that the tortuga is singing. I believe it, firmly, I do not know why but it has been so in all these years.

I speak in Spanish for and I do not know much English so I write comes directly from Google Translator, thank you very much for understanding my language barrier.

A few years ago, say 4 from the date I wrote this letter, I was in my house looking for books to read. I must confess that by this time I was not a fan of him, I had read IT and it had seemed boring for a long time, and for some years I avoided reading anything else about you. In fact, I was trying to get out of the addiction that LOST had left in me and the emptiness that manifested itself in my life when I finished, in my desperation I even sought in the circle of readers, a kind of society that I do not think you read anything useful , But hey, I was desperate. In his page there was a promotion to buy the gunslinger and to buy in offer two books more of the saga of the dark tower. I do not know why I was struck by the title of the books, but when Stephen King was the author I dismissed them immediately. However, during that week I could not get the gunslinger out of my head, so I decided to go back to the page to see what the book was about. They did not give much information, so I felt disappointed and did what anyone would have done: I searched Wikipedia. They gave a summary of the book, without spoiler and commented that it was a series of 7 books. Once again I discarded the saga for being too extensive, and in addition to S. King who writes everything too much, I thought at that moment.

But when something is in your head, you just have it in your head and you can not do anything. So I tried to find an E-book of the gunman and that way to know if I bought the rest (I do not lie, I wanted to buy something to read), but it was an unsuccessful task so in a few days I had forgotten the subject. At that time, for reasons of my heart, I traveled to a nearby city, with a frequency of fifteen days, and stayed in the house of a friend who provided me lodging. As a habit, most surely, of every good reader, I would frequently check the libraries of the houses that arrived, perhaps, in the hope of finding something new, and given the frequency that visited that house was expected to know all the books of memory. One night, just before I went to bed, I went back to the pile of books and there was something that caught my eye. There was a book in that library, I do not know what struck me, most likely I was slightly out in relation to his other "companions" or perhaps the simple fact that said: Stephen King. "The gunman." I knew this library very well, every fifteen days I checked it, and I was (and still am) sure that the book had not seen it for a fortnight. I took it and checked to see who it belonged, but there was no name inside. That seemed strange, but I did not care until the moment when I began to read it and I decided that I would continue to do so, so I borrowed it from my friend, but this one disconcerted by that book answered that it was not hers. After an exhaustive search of the owner of the book (in which we asked: his sister, his father, his mother, his aunt, his sister's friends and even a cousin who had come a few months before) Belonged. Having no owner and knowing that no one would ask for it, I borrowed it.

In this way I began my personal journey in search of the tower. I commented that I was involved in the middle world for the period of about four months (I took my time to read them all), in fact and LITERALLY, I was involved in the world of Roland. The experiences that I will tell next I swear that they are true, I do not know if they are simple coincidences or paranormal revelations, but they are certain. During that time, and as the books were coming, all the events that occurred in the book passed me one way or another. Yes, I became obsessed with them and everything sounded to the tower, but there are events that were not in my control and that still happened. Never in my life, and having lived in that city for more than ten years, I never knew so many restaurants that had the word tower in their name. Sometimes I chose them, but on many occasions I was just there until I realized that I was carrying the tower somehow in his name. People told me riddles, when I read the train book, and I've never liked those games. Anyway, I was always surrounded by the tower, all this was wonderful for me, it made the book more and more addictive. I lived during that year, two thousand thirteen, in the middle world, cornerstone world and the road of the tower called me also like Roland, fabulous. I think the thing started to get strange when I told my friend my success, she decided to read the books too and asked me back the book I had found in her house. I gave it up with suspicion, since, given the circumstances, that book had an important meaning for me. After a few weeks and when I knew she was going for the second I asked her back, as if the book were mine, the first book and she flatly refused. It did not belong to him either, but it was true that he was in his house. That book seemed to exert an obsessive force in us which impelled us to take possession of it as it were, and in the end we ended up being enmity, a little, for not reaching a concrete agreement of who should have the book, nor what were their reasons to have it. In the meantime, I could not get away from those letters that called me and even took me out of sleep. Sometimes I felt like a consumer power when I read it and I remembered Roland, the witch and others when they saw through the crystal ball. So it felt, my friend agreed with this feeling, my brother a few months later joined our experience.

At the end of the seventh book, my situation by the book was such that I began to notice that all the people I knew in those days had blue bomber eyes. It's not a lie, not an exaggeration, well it's okay! They were not all, but a significant number of people. I do not know if you know, but let's say that in Colombia that color is not as common as it may be in your country, or in Argentina where I currently live, at that time finding someone with that range of color in their eyes was not really so frequent Like those days. And like everything in life the dark tower came to an end. Yes, everything good ends someday, and with it my continual stumbling with the middle world and the world's cornerstone. As expected, when I stopped reading the coincidences declined and everything was forgotten, even the book that was so important at first, and caused a quarrel with my friend, disappeared from the picture, and like everything in life did not We saw him again. According to her, the book must have gone astray, and must surely be there, when they stacked the books in a forgotten room to remodel the house, until today we have not seen it any more. However, my story with the tower does not end there. Eventually, he calls me, chases me, and appears around me, and that, as Stephen King calls him in his book, I call it the tortoise song and then I understand that he's singing.
A few days after finishing the book I had two dreams, in both was Roland, although in fact it was not. I dreamed that the flower was calling me and that I could feel the pulse of the tower. In the dream I was visited by a version of Jake from another world that indicated that I had to release Roland from his endless road to the tower. In my possession I had Roland's pistols and I had to go with them to the tower. On several occasions the police, in my dream, would haunt me and try to take my guns off, but for reasons unknown to me, even if they saw them, they never found them. I remember having them all the way to the tower until just as I crossed the field of roses and came to her. To my surprise when I was in front of the door the guns were still there waiting for Roland, when I checked and I did not have them. I had a very similar dream a second time, but in that one I was with Roland, who had escaped from his interminable journey of the tower and sought to reach the last level, another last level, where Gan was. After that, to release Roland and walk away from his tower path, I never dreamed of him again.

The strangest event that happened to me was a few months later, when in my medical visit to patients, I am a doctor, I was with a lady in her room and just before leaving we said something funny, I do not remember what, but I can Remember that one of his companions, dressed in black, said clearly and audibly (and watching television): "The man in black ran through the desert ..." everyone broke into laughter, even me for a few seconds until in Inside me something completed that phrase: "... and the gunman went after him." Astonished by this coincidence, I inquired of the lady and her passion for the dark tower, and she said that she knew nothing of that book, and that she had only said that because she thought she had heard it on television. I was surprised by that coincidence, but I tried to make my life as usual. I decided to go back to the bookstore again to see if there was something new or flashy to read, I do not know why I thought I would have, since I had gone three days ago and found nothing interesting. But when I arrived I found with surprise that the Spanish edition of "The wind by the lock" had arrived at the bookstore, as it is expected I acquired it immediately. Since then I think I hear the song of the turtle, from time to time and I think: Will this happen to other readers just like me? I always wanted to share my experience with someone, but I never could.

Finally, in these days of 2016, and without finding myself thinking about the dark tower rather than a good saga, which I learned in a strange way, something strange happened to me again. A few days ago I visited a house where a couple of friends were staying in Argentina, while everyone chatted amiably I was just looking at nothing, I was tired all day and did not want to talk much, suddenly my eyes fell on a table that Was on the front wall. I do not know what caught my eye to see it, but as I looked at it closely at me it jumped immediately and recalled the tower, Roland and the unmistakable signs that the tortoise is still singing today. A rather abstract picture was in front of me, there was nothing special about it except the number that was central and large. Guess what it was ... Yes, the 19th. I took a picture and sent it to my brother, after a day or two walking down the street from Buenos Aires I came across another sign, this time different, but at the end of the day It reminded me of the tower. In a clothing store he said in big black letters "Roland Cotton" and in front of it said: 2017 Summer. Diagonal a restaurant in red letters said: The great wild bear. Immediately I remembered everything I told him, I searched the internet for news about the tower and found that the tower movie was scheduled for the summer of 2017. I knew there would be a movie, I did not know when its due, but Everything guided me that it would be fair for that date. I think this is Ka. What do you think? Has anyone had a similar experience? Has any of the turtle's song been heard?

had this strange dream where Stephen King was younger than he is today...he's standing by a bus giving an interview...I think, that's my take on it anyway. And he has Fred Flintstone feet. Fred's feet actually look better than King's in the dream. I don't know if the bus was coming or going. This other time, ran into him over at the fillin station here in town. Went in to pay for my gas and he was sitting at a school desk, reading a book. As I'm paying for gas, all these customers who'd been hunkered down by the snack cakes began to sneak out. Like I had the flu...or something. King followed them out. I thought at him, 'great stories!' and he thought back, 'thanks!' In the first dream, the wind was blowing his hair all about. As far as hearing any songs, I'd probably get the lyrics wrong. Secret! Asian man! Secret! Asian man!

and not that it matters much, but a few years back I decided what the heck, might as well build a spec house. Seemed like the thing to do at the time, over on Aspen Drive. When they assigned a house number, we got "1009". And...I met my wife on the 19th, a Saturday. I heard something, the turtle, something. My ears are still ringing.

Hahaha ... Sorry for the length of the entrance. But I had to tell my story and know if someone had had the same experience as me. Initially, I had written a letter to Stephen King but it was impossible for me to get an e-mail or mail from him. So I chose to write my experience, and part of that letter, in this forum. I hope that one day he will read it. Jejejeje.

However, if anyone had something similar I invite you to comment! Thanks for the welcome!

Welcome! I think I get what you're saying. Constant reminders all around.
All things are providential. Do you Calla speak? I think most of us here who've read the book do. KA is a wheel.
My daughter was explaining the Mandela effect to me and I was just thinking to myself - "sometimes you're just on a different level of the tower, that's all". It lives in ya.

I also had the same feeling. The tower is everywhere, even in other books

Heart of the South
I was a bit freaked out when I turned 19 and read about the flu epidemic of the early 1900's. I came home with 2 dozen eggs that day and scrambled 5 of them. Then, later that week, I had lunch with Nelson Mandela and he paid me back the $20 he owed me. I lost a dollar in his house.
You are quite the wordster, mal!
The Mandela effect is totally counting on all of us from the 70s and 80s to remember things correctly. As if!
