I like Miracle Whip myself and can not tolerate Mayonaise.

I grew up with Miracle Whip, BH grew up with mayonnaise, but now we rarely use either. If something calls for mayo or sour cream, we usually use greek yogurt (preferably Fage). I will probably have to get the actual condiments for his turkey sandwich, though--can't mess with tradition. :)

The woods are lovely dark and deep
Me, too. I prefer to use it for potato salad..tangy.
I use Miracle Whip and French's mustard in my potato salad along with all those crunchy veggies. The trick is to get the right balance between the Whip and the mustard. I have a specific taste tester; if he says its GREAT, I wait till he leaves, then add more Whip. Comes out perfect every time.:biggrin-new:

Found a recipe for do-the-day before mashed potatoes! Make and refrigerate. When T-day arrives, put prepared potatoes in crockpot, heat on low for about 4 hours.

Oooh - this sounds good! I could eat mashed potatoes any day of the week but after work and gym I am often too tired to peel and wash potatoes, etc.
I will have to go Google this - great idea!

I was reading an article on how to watch your caloric intake during the holidays and one suggestion I have to reject vehemently. It was suggested that I should eat either mashed potatoes OR stuffing, not both. NUNH NUNH NUNH.:facepalm_smiley:
That's blasphemy! On the sacred holiday of Thanksgiving, both must be consumed along with copious amounts of every other food group. And then for the next 3 days as well. ;-D Being sensible about what you eat is what January is for.
